The Art of Balance is loosely inspired by a quote by artist Henri Matisse:
“What I dream of is an art of balance:
Of escaping life’s troubles and pain;
Of a soothing, calming influence on the mind.
Keeping your balance requires constant correction;
To maintain equilibrium, you have to keep moving.
What I dream of is an art of balance which provides freedom.”
This show opens itself up to numerous visual and storyboarding interpretations, including losing, finding, and maintaining physical and/or mental balance, meditation (the zen circle), yin and yang, and so much more!
