SUMMARY

"Bridges are perhaps the most invisible form of public architecture." - Bruce Jackson

Suspensions is a show that explores the visual idea of bridges and how they can connect things together, or divide them. But it also explores the beauty of the architecture of bridges, as showcased with Bridge Over Troubled Water. Roughly 60% of the musical book consists of suspended chord qualities and melodic motives, which is simultaneously a subtle and yet altogether not-so-subtle way of driving the concept forward.
